Gospel Reading: 7:1-2, 10, 25-30

1 After this Jesus went about in Galilee; he would not go about in Judea, because the Jews sought to kill him.
2 Now the Jews' feast of Tabernacles was at hand.
10 But after his brothers had gone up to the feast, then he also went up, not publicly but in private.
25 Some of the people of Jerusalem therefore said, "Is not this the man whom they seek to kill?
26 And here he is, speaking openly, and they say nothing to him! Can it be that the authorities really know that this is the Christ?
27 Yet we know where this man comes from; and when the Christ appears, no one will know where he comes from."
28 So Jesus proclaimed, as he taught in the temple, "You know me, and you know where I come from? But I have not come of my own accord; he who sent me is true, and him you do not know.
29 I know him, for I come from him, and he sent me."
30 So they sought to arrest him; but no one laid hands on him, because his hour had not yet come.

Reflections:

“I have not come on my own accord”.
Jesus lived here on earth not on his own accord, but by his Father’s will. God sent Jesus to dwell among us. To be our God’s living presence. A word made flesh.
Everything that happens in our lives be it good or bad is part of God’s plan for us. Every people that you meet is part of your life. Your parents, sibling, cousins, teachers, classmates, and even the people that we ignore most of the time. There is a reason why we meet them. They are here to change our life. There are people who can be of bad or good influence, but it is up to us whom we would like to follow.
In the school where I study, we used to interview school personnel for our activity. Most of the times we choose to interview the janitors. And there was an amiable janitor where in one of the interviews I was so touched by his words. He told us that he is working as a janitor because he believes that that is the only job that suits his skill. Though he wants something higher than his present job… he believes it’s too late for him to study. He works hard for his son because he wants his son to accomplish higher than what he has reached.
Those words became my inspiration. His words always remind me to cherish every moment while I’m in school.
Every one of us has the capacity to be an inspiration. It all depends on how you will live your life to the fullest. Would you like to be one of God’s instrument?
